Job Description
Gmax Trackstars Gmax Trackstars is a small sports charity in the UK – who are developing a sustainable funding model which is invested into grassroots Athletics for disadvantage communities. The prime objective is to deliver quality coaching programs and Strategic partners, to achieve targeted investment into local grassroots Athletics facilities to improve the quality and experience of playing at school and college level, while improving lives and strengthening communities.
Gmax is seeking to appoint a philanthropically minded person to join the Board of Trustees, which we plan to comprises of influential figures who are dedicated to supporting athletics at grassroots level. Role Attend four meetings of the Board of Trustees per calendar year. Promote the highest standards of governance and transparency, ensuring that the Board fulfills its responsibilities for the governance of the charity.
Together with the Chair, Board colleagues and the Chief Executive, determine the strategic direction of the Gmax and set policy.
Do you possess these qualities?
You will be able to demonstrate sound business judgement, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and a willingness to work as part of a team to help the Gmax achieve its aims. We will expect you to be ‘challenging’, but at the same time respectful of the views of others, and to adopt a constructive, collegiate and supportive approach to this very important role. We are looking to develop a Board that is as inclusive as possible and which effectively represents the broad, diverse constituency that Gmax is looking to support; therefore, we would welcome applications from the broadest spectrum of backgrounds.
-A working knowledge and genuine interest in the charitable sector;
-An interest in sports and an understanding of the inter-relationships between Sports Governing Bodies in the UK will be advantageous.
